S.P. Island Belize Week 6-7

At our favorite coffee shop, a local man told us about a beautiful beach far on the other side of the island without any seaweed or trash or tourists. Hence, we had to check it out. We rented a golf cart for the day, $50 U.S., but so worth-it! Even if it did spew exhaust and max out at 15 mph! This is what we found after driving for an hour and a half.

We brought our lunch and enjoyed this beautiful place all day! There was a few tourists, but we didn't mind because this beach was completely lacking in the typical 10feet of seaweed clogging the shoreline & stinking like fish farts! This year the seaweed explosion is much worse than usual, we are told. Apparently it has something to do with storms elsewhere in the Caribbean. We were so happy to find this beach!

After weeks away from familiar faces we were so happy to go see the fam!

Yay!! We got to go for a little trip down south to see all my family that lives in Placencia! I was so excited!

This was my seat in the airplane! Yikes! Scary but cool!

Got to spend time with gramma and grampa in the English bible study work. They are also inviting all in their territory to the memorial of Jeus death (same as we are doing) so we got to help with that too! Then we had a nice lunch together. Love these two!

We were so happy to see Denise again. We met her on our first trip to Belize. She's serving in the Sign Language group we visited last time. She supports herself by teaching English online! She's so sweet, and very hard working. She loves the deaf. We were so happy to have a coffee with her and get up to speed on her life here in Belize!

Nats daughter Morgan, all grown up at 11.

Nat trying to stay cool in the hammock on her porch.

Nat & Ryan recently moved their kitchen outside to the porch! It was such a great idea. I baked goodies almost everyday I was there! Loved it!

When we were not in the ministry, or baking, this is what we were doing!

Our trip home in a tiny airplane!

This is what it was like when we got back! Feels like 100.

So my solution, beg a friend to use the pool where she is staying! She was happy to oblige.

Now back to work! We were so happy to have 27 in attendance at our ASL congregation bible study, including 7 deaf plus their children! Everyone was so happy to be there! We had great participation in commenting and talks! We are happy to have been able to support this little group for the past few weeks and will continue to work hard to support them for the next few days! Looking forward to seeing my doggies and my family back home!
